چکیده

In this study, cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) fabricated from rice straw were utilized to reinforce poly(?-caprolactone) (PCL), and the structure properties of these CNF/PCL composite films analyzed by morphology observation measurements X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), mechanical property water absorption. The experimental results revealed that in PCL matrix, CNF exhibits a homogeneous distribution at low content, but shows some aggregates high content. incorporated doesn't change crystal type, crystallinity melting temperature PCL, accelerates crystallization due its heterogeneous nucleating agent effect. Compared with film, show obvious improvement tensile strength Young's modulus increments 7.5% 10% CNFs 76% 15% respectively. However, after content exceeds 10%, begins decrease, loading also causes remarkable negative influences on thermal stability hydrophobicity films. reinforced can be employed packaging biomedical applications.

Flexible Cellulose Nanofibril Composite Films with Reduced Hygroscopic Capacity

Cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), which are generated from abundant, environmentally friendly natural plant resources, display numerous interesting properties such as outstanding mechanical strength, negligible light scattering, and low thermal expansion (Zimmermann et al., 2010). These nanofibers are usually created by mechanical fibrillation or chemical oxidation of pulp fibers. CNFs have previou...

Resin impregnation of cellulose nanofibril films facilitated by water swelling

Flexible composite films were produced by impregnating aqueous phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin into water-swollen cellulose nanofibril (CNF) films. CNF films were prepared using a pressurized filtration method in combination with freeze drying. The freeze-dried films were swollen with water then impregnated with PF resin by soaking in aqueous resin solutions of varying concentrations. Small amou...

Poly(ε-caprolactone) films reinforced with chlorhexidine loaded electrospun polylactide microfibers

Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) films reinforced with polylactide (PLA) microfibers were prepared by two methodologies: a) melt pressing of an electrospun PLA mat between two PCL films, and b) melt pressing of a co-electrospun mat composed of PLA microfibers and PCL nanofibers. Electrospinning conditions were selected for each polymer to obtain films loaded with 10, 20 and 30 wt% of PLA. Thermal and...

Rice Straw Fiber Reinforced High Density Polyethylene Composite: Effect of Coupled Compatibilizating and Toughening Treatment

In this study, rice-straw (RS) filled high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites were manufactured by extrusion and injection molding. Three compatibilizers, which are unfunctionalized ethylene/propylene copolymer (uEPR), maleic anhydride grafted EPR (EPR-g-MA) and PE-g-MA, and their combinations were introduced to strengthen fibermatrix interphase. The mechanical and morphological properties ...
